Haroo Tea House

I'm so glad that there's one more place to go for a few drinks,
What I mean drinks here = tea. Sorry for all the alcoholics out there.

Haroo Tea House-

I love their business card, which the actual street map was printed on it.
That makes everything easier for someone like me (I get lost about once every other week).

Green Tea Tangerine and Jasmine Pearl (I haven't pour the water yet)-

They have a wide selection of tea,
From Oolong to Earl Grey, from fruit tea to ice milk tea.
Not to mention those "functional" tea that will soothe your uncomfortableness when you are suffering from nausea, headache, pms, etc.

Interior-

The place is cozy and spacious,
Unlike most of the boba tea places, Haroo seems more "peaceful," probably due to the lower noise level and more layback design.

How much I wish there's a nice tea place next to my neighborhood, with delicious dessert and wireless connection.
Am I asking too much?

TenRen or Tea Station?

This should be my favorite Chinese tea place with franchise throughout California.
TenRen (天仁) or Tea Station,
I've been so confused about their names.
Even though the menu, atmosphere, and store layout all looked similar, some called TenRen and some called Tea Station.
But who cares?
As long as the quality of my Osthmanthus Oolong Tea remains the same every time I visit the store-

Besides all the basic snacks you can find at a Chinese tea place, such as crispy chicken, fried fish balls, toast, etc,
Most of the TenRen/Tea Station also carry hot dishes such as Stir-Fried Udon-

Cindy's Rating: 7 (Based on the one in Rowland Heights)

Salty Sliced Pork with Dry Noodleds 碳香烏龍鹹豬肉乾麵-

They even have cheese cake with green tea powder-

Cindy's Rating: 5 (Tastes better with the whipped cream)

Their tea is like my savior during this burning summer season.
One good thing to carry me through until the snow comes.

Overall Rating: 7

Class 302 - 三年二班

After my big breakfast - soba,
Now it's time for lunch!
(absolutely a food monger)

Class 302 (Interior)-

The whole place is designed with a high school setting back in Taiwan,
Notice the numbers on the left corner on the blackboard?
It's for people who slept during classes,
I was number 44 in my class "back then."
Was I on that column before?
You figure.

I think I ate more during class than slept more during class.

Menu-

Shrimp Omelets 蝦仁煎-

Of course not as good as the ones from Taiwan,
Don't be too picky,
We're in America,
Should be graceful that we even have this version of Taiwanese food here.

Cindy's Rating: 4 (however, my rating is not that graceful)

Shredded Chicken Over Rice 嘉義雞絲飯-

They put most of their rice dishes in the lunch box,
Just like old times,
My lunch box was bigger than most of the students,

I eat well throughout my life.

Cindy's Rating: 6

The only not-so-nice thing about Class 302 is that their tables and chairs are really small,
You can barely squeeze your As* in that tiny space,
Well,
At least I was having a hard time with my butts.

Overall Rating: 5.5

Tea Genie - 小貓養魚

Decided to give this place a try instead of going to Tea Station every single time,
But after all...
Tea Station is still the best.
At least for now.

Menu-

Fruit Tea-

Which I didn't see any fruit at all.

Cindy's Rating: 1

Butter Toast-

My first reaction when they brought the toast to our table:
So...small.
It was like 1/3 smaller than the one you usually get.
I don't know if the price is cheaper here or not,
I only know that it's the smallest butter toast I've even seen in my life.

Ok,
Maybe I over-exaggerated it,
But it really is the smallest toast I've ever seen from a tea place.

Cindy's Rating: 3

So many bad things about this place,
However,
Some good parts still worth mentioning:
This place is quiet,
They have Interesting names for the food in Chinese,
They have wide selection of meals (in comparison to other tea places).
That's about it.

I didn't try the food,
But if you wanna have tea only,
Don't come here.

Tea N More

Tea N More is just another tea places around San Diego.
Nothing special about the place besides they also sell some Asian DVDs inside the store.
Almost forgot, you can also read all their comic books there for just a small fee.

Mr. Microbe Craving for Drinks-

My friend said he's an octopus, somehow he looks like one of those microbes in the ocean to me.
On the Way Home-

It was really foggy that night.
I even opened the window and see if I can feel the "fog."
Silly.
