Pan-Seared Tuna Steak with Ginger-Shitake Cream Sauce

I'm gonna start making a lot of "gourmet" food now since the enormous amount of time I got after finished all the finals.

So here's my first "masterpiece!"

Pan-Seared Tuna Steak with Ginger-Shitake-

Ingredient:

3 tuna steaks
Extra virgin olive oil
2 tablespoon of butter
Few sliced cilantro
Few sliced scallion
Few cloves of chopped garlic
Some ground ginger
One box of Shitake mushroom, stemmed, sliced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
Salt
Fresh ground pepper
1/2 whipping cream
1 tablespoon lime juice

How?

Preheat the oven to 200 degree Fahrenheit.
Sprinkle freshly ground pepper and some salt on one side of the steak.
Add EVOO in to the pan, Sear the steak for about 2 minutes, pepper side down first.
Turn over the steak and sear till desired rareness.
I prefer medium-rare, which takes about 4 minutes.
Transfer the steak into the oven, well, on the baking sheet of course~

Now it's time for the sauce, toss ginger, garlic, cilantro, scallion, and butter in to the pan you just used.
Saute for a little bit, just a little bit cz you don't want burned garlic, it's gonna get bitter.
Add mushrooms and soy sauce and stir for a little bit.
Add the whipping cream and stir in lime juice.

For garnish: lime wedges and cilantro sprigs.

Cindy's Rating: 5.8

Healthy meal indeed.
