Pre-Graduation Party in Da House : Part One

After struggling for hours doing my management take-home final,
I can finally proudly announce that,
I'm officially done with school,

Burn that book! Burn that book!
But before I really burn my book, let's have a house Bar-B-Q party first!
Here are some of the stuff I prepared for nearly 25 hungry monsters:

Wild Mushroom Crostini (adapted from epicurious.com)-

Ingredient:

Baguette (sliced)
Extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup chopped shallots
A hand full of chopped oyster mushrooms
A hand full of chopped stemmed shitake mushrooms
A hand full of chopped portobello mushrooms
Few garlic cloves (minced)
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 teaspoon minced fresh rosemary
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

How?

Preheat oven to 375°F.
Arrange baguette slices on the baking sheet and toast until golden.
Heat up oil in the skillet and add shallots, sauté for about 1 minute.
Add all the mushrooms and sauté for about 6 minutes.
Add garlic and stir for a short moment.
Remove the skillet from heat.
Stir in cream, rosemary, and lemon peel.
Season with salt and pepper.
Let it cool for a little bit.
Mix in both cheeses.

Preheat broiler.
Top each toast with the mushroom topping and put them on the baking sheets.
Broil until cheese is melted and begins to brown.

Tomato and Mozzarella Crostini-

Ingredient:
Baguette (sliced)
Extra virgin olive oil
Few garlic cloves, halved
Few plum tomatoes or roman tomatoes (chopped, seeded too if desired)
Fresh basil, julienned
Fresh mozzarella cheese (sliced, but I used shredded ones today)

How?

Preheat the oven's broiler.
Brush the sliced bread with olive oil, and place on a baking sheet.
Toast under the broiler until golden brown, about 3 minutes.
Rub each crostini with a garlic clove for flavor.

Mix all the chopped tomatoes with some EVOO, salt, and pepper.
Top each crostini with basil, and then add a slice of mozzarella cheese,
Finished with a spoonful of tomatoes.

Korean Cucumber-

Cindy's Rating: 3 (not a big fan of this)

Scallops-

Seasoned with salt and fresh grounded pepper,
Drizzled with EVOO.

The ones in the picture are not cooked yet.

Alcohol (Just one little corner)-

How can you have a party without alcohol.
We got more of those devil liquid here and there,
But I just can't fit them all in one picture.

Cindy's Rating: ? (so hard to rank alcohol, depend on my mood I guess)

Part Deux is coming up.
I'll post it tomorrow,
It's 4:30 a.m. in the morning? late night?
I am...tired....
