Oyakodon 親子丼

Let's cook something easy today!

Ingredients:
Chicken breast (cut in bite size)
Onion (half, sliced)
Soy sauce
Sugar
Mirin
Dashi
Eggs
Seaweed (chopped)
Rice (duh)

How?

First marinated the chicken with some soy sauce and set it aside.

Now let's toss something in the pan.
Everyone has their own little way to make oyakodon,
For me,
I first add the onion in the pan with the broth,
Broth means the combination of dashi, soy sauce, mirin, and water.
I don't know how many cups or how many tablespoons,
I never really measure it,
Just remember more dashi than soy sauce than mirin then water.
I like my onion soft so I usually leave it boiling till whenever.

Then I add chicken and wait till it's cooked.
Now beat the eggs, I usually use two for one portion,
Pour them into the pan in a circle,
Remember the broth should be boiling at this moment.

Now turn off the heat,
Covered it with lid and wait for about one minute.
Pour the whole yummy thing over cooked rice,
Sprinkle some dried seaweed and here you go,

One simple meal.
